Making the Journey and the Day Work for Your Family
Choosing a school is about more than what happens between the first bell and the last. Families also need to know that the school experience can fit into their everyday lives.
SAFE & RELIABLE TRANSPORATION
KMES Transit Program
Choosing a school is about more than what happens between the first bell and the last. Families also need to know that the school experience can work for their everyday lives. For families in Half Moon Bay and throughout the Coastside, Kings Mountain Elementary offers options that make being part of our mountain community easier and more accessible.
Our shuttle service provides a convenient connection between Half Moon Bay and Kings Mountain Elementary, giving students the opportunity to start and end their school day with their KMES community. For families who love what KMES offers but wonder how the daily drive up the mountain could work, the shuttle can make all the difference. It gives students a chance to travel together, build friendships, and begin their school day surrounded by classmates before they even arrive on campus.

MORE THAN AFTER-SCHOOL CARE
Keep the Adventure Going
The school day doesn't have to end when the bell rings.
Venture Free offers an on-campus after-school program for KMES students, with outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, projects, leadership opportunities, and time to make independent choices. Our after-school program is more than just a place for students to stay. It is a sanctuary where curiosity is celebrated, and the natural world becomes a classroom. Rooted in the belief that children learn best by doing, we provide a nurturing space where your child can grow into a confident, capable, and responsible individual.
Our program breathes life into the afternoon. From the excitement of the great outdoors to the cozy comfort of our indoor spaces, every moment is intentionally designed to support your child's physical activity and social-emotional growth. In our care, your child isn't just supervised, they are inspired to explore, empowered to make decisions, and encouraged to simply be kids.
It's another part of what makes the KMES experience feel different. Children aren't simply moving from one scheduled activity to the next. They have time to be curious, creative, active, and connected while continuing to grow alongside their friends and school community.
