5th Grade Promotion Celebration
A meaningful tradition that brings our community together.
What Is It?
Hosted by 4th Grade Families
A Journey Completed, A New Adventure Begins
The 5th Grade Promotion is one of the most poignant and proud moments in the KMES calendar. It is more than just a ceremony; it is a celebration of the growth, resilience, and friendships our students have developed during their time with us.
As our oldest students prepare to leave the halls of Kings Mountain Elementary, we gather as a community to honor their achievements and the journey they have taken. It is a time of reflection. Looking back at the first days of kindergarten and marvel at the confident leaders they have become.
Filled with pride and a few happy tears, we cheer them on as they close this chapter and step forward with confidence into middle school. We celebrate not only their academic success but the wonderful people they are becoming.

Why Do We Hold It?
This tradition has been part of KMES for generations, rooted in community, school spirit, and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
It's a time to celebrate who we are, welcome new families, and strengthen the bonds that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.
