HOSTED BY KMAP
Tea & Tissues
A meaningful tradition that brings our community together.
What Is It?
Hosted by KMAP
We invite all parents, grandparents, and family members to join us for one of KMES’s favorite traditions. The first day of school always brings a mix of excitement, anticipation, and sometimes a few emotions! Tea & Tissues is a relaxed opportunity to enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries while reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new families, and easing into the new school year together.
Members of the KMAP Board will be there to welcome you, answer questions, and share more about KMAP and the many ways families can get involved throughout the year. There is no formal presentation. Just good conversation and a warm start to another fantastic school year.
When Is It?
DATE: August - First Day of School after drop-off
TIME: 8:05 AM to 9:05 AM
LOCATION: Lion’s Den at Kings Mountain Elementary School
Why Do We Hold It?
This tradition has been part of KMES for generations, rooted in community, school spirit, and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
It's a time to celebrate who we are, welcome new families, and strengthen the bonds that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.
How Can I Help?
Many hands make light work! Volunteers help bring our traditions to life in so many ways. We'd love for you to be a part of it.
Many Hands Make Our Community Stronger
