We're an impassioned community of parents and caregivers, rallying around our learners at Kings Mountain Elementary School and living by the heartfelt saying, "It Takes a Mountain!" We're here to confirm that this isn't just a motto — it's a way of life at our remarkable school.

Kings Mountain Elementary School (KMES) is not your everyday institution; it's a cradle of learning nestled within a vibrant forest environment. Thanks to our dedicated teachers, stimulating enrichment activities, and nurturing atmosphere, our learners don't just get by—they flourish. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized by multiple accolades, including the esteemed California Distinguished School award.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a strong connection between our school and the surrounding community. The robust engagement from parents and community members is what truly sets KMES apart, making it a beacon of rewarding educational opportunities for students and families. Amidst the challenges education faces nationally, we have the rare chance to stand together, to learn, to engage, and to contribute, making a profound impact on our school.

Modern-day public schooling isn't funded the same way it was during our own childhoods. Things we often take for granted, like music, art, advanced science programs, technology, and library resources, are made possible due to the dedicated efforts of volunteers and fundraising by groups like ours.
